US Has No Plans To Send Patriot Missile Defense Systems To Ukraine Now - The Pentagon.

The United States currently has no plans to send Patriot missile defense systems to Ukraine, Pentagon spokesman Brig. said

We currently have no plans to ship Patriot batteries to Ukraine, but we will continue to have those discussions, Pentagon spokesman Brig. Gen. Pat Ryder said.

General Pat Ryder  told reporters, "Currently, we have no plans to supply Patriot batteries to Ukraine, but again, we will continue these discussions," he said during a regular news briefing on Tuesday. it will continue to be an ongoing discussion,” he said. If we have more to announce on this front, we certainly will.

Earlier in the day, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said at a press conference after the first day of  NATO ministerial meetings that NATO was discussing possible deliveries of Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine. 

The US-made Patriot air defense system, an air interceptor missile and  radar system, is designed to intercept cruise missiles and ballistic missile warheads.
