President Muhammadu Buhari met with Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, and Abdullahi Adamu, the party leader.
The meeting comes ahead of the formal opening of the party's presidential campaign, scheduled for November 15 in Jos, the capital of the plateau.
During the meeting, APC presidential candidate Bola Tinubu asked the president to ask CBN to delay the naira redesign until after the 2023 election, as this move will affect APC's victory, noting that the major APCs have already made some financial arrangements to ensure they win in 2023.
Their request was denied by President Muhammadu Buhari, who wants to leave a legacy by ensuring elections are free of vote-buying and other financial inducements.
