Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan discussed record growth in trade turnover and energy projects between the two countries, as well as the grain trade and the situation in Syria, during a recent meeting.
The two leaders also discussed the creation of a regional gas hub in Turkey, and exchanged views on the initiative.
They also discussed the implementation of the Istanbul agreements on the supply of Ukrainian grain from Black Sea ports and the export of Russian agriculture products and fertilizers.
Putin and Erdogan also discussed the Syrian settlement in the context of the provisions of the Russian-Turkish Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2019, and the defense and foreign policy agencies of both countries will support close ties in this regard, according to a statement from the Kremlin.
