The Recent Achievements of The Gallant Troops of Operation Hadin Kai

In a series of sustained operations aimed at eliminating terrorism in the North East, the troops of 21 Special Armoured Brigade of 7 Division/Sector 1 Operation Hadin Kai, supported by the Air Component Command and Nigerian Army Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Command, have achieved a significant victory.

Deep operations into the infamous Sambisa forest resulted in the neutralization of numerous terrorists. The well-planned and coordinated operation, conducted under the guidance of the Theatre Command, showcased the troops' courage and determination to secure the region.

Neutralizing Terrorists and Recovering Arms:

During the operation in the Ukuba general areas, the troops encountered and engaged terrorists, leading to the neutralization of a significant number of them. However, the success did not stop there. The troops also made a momentous discovery by uncovering what is believed to be the largest cache of arms and ammunition ever found in the insurgents' arsenal. The recovered items included RPG 7 tubes, RPG bombs, a Mercedes Benz truck, motorcycles, mortar tubes, shoulder grenade launchers, mortar bombs, 122 mm bombs, PG42 grenades, various calibers of ammunition, hand grenades, IED-making materials, AK-47s, SMGs, grenade rifles, and other hardware.

Skillful Handling of IEDs and Ongoing Offensives:

While making their way through the region, the troops encountered several improvised explosive devices (IEDs). However, due to their expertise and careful approach, they were able to successfully detonate all the IEDs without any casualties. Undeterred by the challenges faced, the troops continue to project force and launch operations against other suspected terrorist locations, displaying their commitment to eradicating terrorism from the North East.

Commendation from the Chief of Army Staff:

Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), lauded the gallantry displayed by the troops in their recent operations. He expressed his appreciation for their relentless efforts and urged them to remain resolute until terrorism and other criminal activities are completely eradicated from the region.
