50-year-Old Man Connected With Case Of Murder Was Arrested In Malaysia
He is being held in Malaysia for his alleged role in the unnatural death of a 27-year-old woman, SPF said in a press release on Wednesday.

A 50-year-old man who was arrested in Malaysia on Tuesday (November 15) and handed over to the Singapore Police Force (SPF) the next day will face a murder charge in court  on Friday.

Police said they were made aware of a case of unnatural death at a  Beach Road shop on Sunday. 27-year-old woman at facility and  was later pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene. The woman is linked to a missing persons report made last Thursday night, SPF said.

Police said they had identified the 50-year-old man in connection with the case, but that he  left for Malaysia on the morning of the same day  the missing persons report was filed. 

Singapore police  sought help "immediately". the Royal Malaysian Police (RMP) to track him down. The man was then arrested by the RMP and handed over to the SPF on Wednesday. 

He will be charged  with murder under Section 302(1) of the 1871 Criminal Code in court on Friday. If convicted, he will be sentenced  to the death penalty .

Investigations ongoing. "Singapore authorities will do whatever is necessary and permitted by our laws to prosecute and bring to justice those who commit crimes in Singapore, regardless of where they  have fled to," police said. "Nor will we hesitate to take decisive action against them.
