Senegal's goals were scored by Boulaye Dia (in the 41st minute), Famara Diedhiou (in the 48th minute) and Cheikh Dieng (in the 84th minute). The only goal for the hosts was scored by forward Mohammed Muntari (in the 78th minute).

The coveted World Cup trophy will be lifted aloft by one of 32 teams divided into eight groups. for Senegal in the group  match of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Team Qatar makes its debut in the FIFA World Cup tournament series. Plays in Group A alongside  teams from the Netherlands, Senegal and Ecuador. Qatar lost 2-0 to Ecuador  in the opening match of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Lusail, Al Wakrah, Al Khor and Al Rayyan.

The eight host stadiums are: Al Bayt Stadium, Khalifa International Stadium, Al Thumama Stadium, Ahmad bin Ali Stadium, Lusail Iconic Stadium, Stadium 974, Education City Stadium and Al Janoub Stadium.

The coveted World Cup trophy is hoisted. by one of 32 teams divided into eight groups. Group stage matches will be played at numerous arenas in Qatar between November 20th and December 2nd, with the top two teams in each group advancing to the playoffs. Qatar won the right to host matches for  FIFA World Cup 

 2022 on December 2, 2010. The championship began last Sunday with a scenic ceremony followed by the  opening match between hosts Qatar and Ecuador, which ended 2-0 in Ecuador's favour.

In March 2015, FIFA officially announced that the 22nd edition of the FIFA flagship event would be played in November and December  2022, with the final match scheduled for 18 December  2022, which coincides with Qatar's national day . 

The goal was basically to hold the tournament for 28 days. The previous FIFA World Cup was hosted by Russia in 2018. The championship was held in 12 stadiums in 11 Russian cities, namely  Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Sochi, Kazan, Saransk, Kaliningrad, Volgograd, Rostov-on-Don, Nizhny Novgorod, Yekaterinburg and Samara.

During an official ceremony in the Kremlin on July 15, 2018, in the presence of FIFA, Russian President Vladimir Putin handed over the baton of the host country of the FIFA World Cup to the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani  President Gianni Infantino.
