The European Union (EU) remains Moscow's biggest trading partner, Russia's First Deputy Prime Minister Andrey Belousov told a plenary session of the Transport Week 2022 forum on Tuesday.

Prime Minister Belousov. It is emphasized that China ranks second in terms of trade turnover with Russia. 

The European Union (EU) remains Moscow's biggest trading partner, Russia's First Deputy Prime Minister Andrey Belousov told a plenary session of the Transport Week 2022 forum on Tuesday. 

The European Union was and is our largest international trading partner," he said. China ranks second in terms of trade turnover  with Russia, Belousov added. 

"Exports account for 30% of GDP, while imports account for 20%, which means international trade turnover is half of Russia's GDP," he said. 

Compared to the second and third quarters of 2021, Russia's international trade turnover with Europe fell by around 25%. in physical terms, or just over $30 billion in 2021 prices, the First Deputy Prime Minister added.
