Biden Questions Zelensky's Claim That The Missile That Hit Poland Was Not Ukrainian
US President Joe Biden said comments by his Ukrainian counterpart Vladimir Zelensky that the missile that landed in Poland was not Ukrainian were not proof, according to reporters accredited to the White House. A missile struck the village of Przewodow in eastern Poland's Lublin Voivodeship on the Ukrainian border on Tuesday, killing two people.

It's not proof," the US leader said upon returning to Washington from the ' G20 summit in Bali. 

On Tuesday, a rocket hit the town of Przewodow in Poland's Lublin Voivodeship on the border with Ukraine, killing two people.

Zelensky blamed Russia for the incident and called on  the West to "act". However, Polish President Andrzej Duda said on Wednesday that according to the authorities of his republic, the projectile was a missile from the Ukrainian air defense system. The State Department  said  the Biden administration is confident in Poland's assessment. 

The Russian Foreign Ministry has criticized Kiev's comments on the incident as provocative, while Russia's top leadership said the missile was launched by a Ukrainian S-300 air defense system.
