Russian President Vladimir Putin welcomed the deployment of the Admiral Gorshkov frigate, equipped with the latest hypersonic anti-ship missile system known as the Zircon.
Stressing the uniqueness of the system, Putin stated that it has no analogue and that it will help protect Russia from possible external threats while ensuring the country's national security interests.
According to Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, the frigate will embark on a long voyage across the Atlantic, Indian Ocean, and the Mediterranean Sea.
Shoigu also highlighted the Zircon missiles' impenetrability, stating that they are impenetrable to any attack. Zircon missiles with a range of more than 1,000 km can travel at nine times the speed of sound.
This cutting-edge technology makes it a formidable weapon against any potential adversary. The deployment of the Admiral Gorshkov frigate, equipped with the Zircon missile system, represents a major advance in Russia's military capabilities and will no doubt alarm other nations.
While the use of hypersonic missiles is not new, the ability to deploy them from a frigate greatly increases their range and potential impact. Admiral Gorshkov, with his advanced technology and long-range capabilities, will be a valuable asset for Russia in protecting its national interests and asserting its military presence on the global stage.
The deployment of the Zircon missile system on the Admiral Gorshkov frigate is a turning point in Russia's military capabilities and is likely to have far-reaching implications for the world balance of power.
