Arab summit In Algeria, Heads Of State And Government Discuss Iran And International Crises

The final day of the Arab summit takes place in Algeria on Wednesday and the region's leaders are expected to discuss Iran and international crises. Middle East and Africa. “We must do everything in our power to ensure the continued success of the Black Sea Grains Initiative in delivering aid to those in need, including countries in the Middle East and North Africa who depend on accessible and affordable food and fertilizer are Ukraine. and the Russian Federation," Guterres said. Russia's war in Ukraine has made Algeria  the largest exporter of oil and gas  to Western Europe.

The conflict has led to an energy crisis across Europe. Tunisian President Kais Saied, a former  Arab League president, said this has led to a global food crisis, exacerbated by climate change and natural disasters. Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein said the outcome of the summit was a strong response to Iranian and Turkish interference in Baghdad's internal affairs.

dr Hussein said that Iraq was not  an "arena for regional and international conflicts" and that the new government in Baghdad wanted  to "further improve relations with the region". Iraq has repeatedly stated that it does not want its territory to become a battlefield for a proxy  war between the US and Iran. Countries disagree over Iran's nuclear program and support for armed groups in the region.

Algeria has chosen the date of the summit to coincide with the 68th anniversary of the start of its war of liberation from French rule, giving added importance to the two-day meeting  and boosting its image as a defender of Arab causes.
